Porsche 928 Message Board, originally hosted by Phil Tong, who developed the seminal 928s Forever website. The 928 Message Board is a home ground for many knowledgeable and friendly 928 aficionados, who tolerate inane questions like "where does the lug wrench go?"
928s Forever developed by Phil Tong, another treasure trove, particularly useful in getting overall familiarity with the 928. Phil's website is a great place to start, with numerous links to other good 928 sites.
928
Racers, a website devoted to brave souls that race their 928s. We
should be particularly appreciative of Mark Kibort
, who rescued the International
Landspeed record setting Al Holbert 1987 S4 from obscurity and neglect and
transformed it into a competitive track car. See the
story here.

Porsche 928 Driver is one helluva 928 fan site. This guy (name unknown) bought a cherry 79 and proceeded to accumulate a vast amount of information on 928 history, models, and other resources. WOW!
928 Owner's Club features a member's only Tips section that expands on Greg Nichol's public guide noted below. There are other resources, such as a 928 mail list, 928 Tech Tip Forum and other club-sponsored activities. Membership is $28/year.
Rennlist is a general Porsche resource. It hosts a web-based 928 message board and a very active 928 mail list. You can read the list posting online, as well as get them via email directly. Also, there is a "for sale" classified ad area that usually has some nice 928s
Paisley Group offers some very nice 928 paraphernalia for sale.

Greg Nichol's Maintenance Tips. This is a treasure trove. You will learn a lot from Greg's pages. An expanded version of Greg's tips is available to owners who join the 928 Owners Club.
jorj7's
928 Site hosted by George Suennen
is an unusually useful tip site about caring for your 928. It seems that
George takes his camera with him to his garage or the service garage whenever he
does anything to his 928s and documents the procedures with text and photos,
covering common and more obscure maintenance and repair items in detail.
Theo's Technical has a section of collected Tech Tips as well as a variety of other technical information sections.
Tony's "Silver Bullet" website has some terrific M&R sections, including a detailed torque tube replacement guide, something you hope never to have to use.
Dan's Porsche 928 page by Dan Bise has a very nice section on caring for your 928.
(Paul) Jager Engineering's Water-cooled V8 site has a lot of creative resources. Paul makes symbol overlays for the console switches, cool replacement shifter knobs, a neat dash skin system to repair cracked dashes, a special motor mount replacement, and has an excellent guide to several maintenance procedures, focusing on t-belt and water pump replacement.
John Pirtle's 928 S4 site has a comprehensive collection of posts from various 928 message boards, similar to Greg Nichol's and Theo's but different enough that you should always check all three when trying to deal with an issue or question regarding the 928. John also has an original and comprehensive guide to t-belt replacement and several other service procedures. Also, he has reproduced the bulk of the S4 Technical Reference book, which is out of print.
Portia's
Parts and Restoration by Dan Brindle
has a growing
collection of M&R guides,
including a t-belt section for older 928s. Oh, and don't overlook the new pre-purchase
inspection guide if you are still in the market for a 928. Also, Dan
offers instrument pod
restoration (crack repair and resurfacing).
Chris Ford's tips: some for his 91 S4 and more for his 87 S4 project car
Ed Scherer has some great advice on stereo upgrades for S4 models.
PARTS
The "Big 3", listed first below, are absolutely
indispensable to 928 owners and deserve our loyal support (business) whenever
possible. Should any one of them suffer a business failure, the whole 928
community would be much worse off. Their prices are far batter than
Porsche anyway, and they offer a variety of specialized parts that they have
developed themselves just for our benefit. Each of them regularly go the
extra mile to help 928 owners in need. USE THEM OR LOSE THEM.
